Caution - Illustration Friday

WIP - Caution

He felt brave, though the fingers wrapped tightly around his hand reminded him of a time when he would have preferred a less ominous route. It made him wonder when he had crossed the threshold into being her protector. Had he always been that to her? He glanced at his sister, smiled courageously and swallowed all of the fears that rose up from his belly. With a cautious look of confidence, his mind reassured him that there was nothing to fear.
- Story by Angela Cummings

This is the first collaboration piece with my long lost partner-in-crime. She was able to write this for me after a 10-day hospital stay! And I'm such a loser that I didn't leave enough time for myself to complete my part. I'm not worthy!

UPDATE: Please see my final artwork.

Pencil Drawing - The Initiate

Pencil Drawing - The Initiate

She had been waiting all her life for the Walk. So impatient she had been the last days, that she had eaten her own hair. But now that it has begun, she's afraid. Fear is all she will know from this day forward. Training is over. It is time for war.

I really shouldn't post this yet. I'm nowhere near done. And I should move in the 9th figure more into the page - it bugs me.

My Wedding Portrait Illustration

Wedding Portrait Illustration - The Family

I've been busy working on my wedding, which is coming up fast in October. Here's my family portrait for the invitations I'm sending out.

Wedding Portrait Illustration

Watercolor on watercolor board, with compositing in PhotoShop (frames and wallpaper are stock photos). This is my family portrait for my wedding invitation. Those who know us have commented that Zeus, the German Shepherd, looks way too calm in my drawing. The ghost cat is our beloved feline who passed away earlier this year. He had been with us since the beginning, more than 13 years. I still see him out of the corner of my eye sometimes.
